All parents try to provide their kids with the healthiest food and to keep their eating schedule clean and regular, avoiding sugary snacks and greasy fried potatoes. While you're putting all the effort into your child's nutrition, you might forget to think about the things that are reachable to your kid and which look delicious and tasty. From paper to grass, your child might have had many more snacks than you have made for them. To prevent your child from enjoying inedible or even poisonous snacks, here are a few of the things kids usually don’t hesitate to taste while you’re not around to stop them. Grass While they are playing in the backyard or at the playground, the fresh green grass is always near children. Grass can look yummy and edible to little children, and it’s a quick and easy meal that can be found all over the playground! This “snack“ can be very harmful to your kid's stomach, especially considering the dirt and other even toxin substances that can be found on the grass. So explain to your child that grass is not meant for eating and if you spot them trying to take a bit, stop them before they harm themselves. It smells like those delicious vanilla cakes when they come straight out of the oven and the texture is similar to a creamy filling. And, when mixed with water, it makes magical transparent bubbles which also look so tasty! Of course, you can’t keep your child away from soap, and if they take just a small lick of hand soap – nothing is going to happen, so don’t freak out. But if they eat the whole soap, they could be in real danger, since it can result in vomiting and diarrhoea. If you find your child smiling with a half-eaten soap, give them plenty of water and milk and contact the poison control hotline or the doctor as soon as possible.
